About us and the Guesthouse
Opsahl Gjestegaard has 12 rooms: five double rooms, one triple room and six single rooms distributed across the second and third floors of the house.
On the ground floor you will find the house's three lounges which serve as shared living rooms and dining rooms. The ground floor is furnished in an elegant, classic and old-fashioned style. Here you will feel the atmosphere as it perhaps was in your grandmother's house. One of our dear guests put it beautifully: "It's like coming home to an old aunt, except you don't have to sit and talk to her all evening". If you have checked in for a longer stay, you can use our shared kitchen and laundry room in the basement.
We have a lovely outdoor area with seating and a greenhouse in the backyard. The house also has five terraces where you can enjoy your afternoon coffee or the morning sun while looking out over Bodø city centre. From the roof terrace you can watch the northern lights dance across the sky on clear winter evenings.

Where we are
Bodø
Bodø, a coastal gem in Northern Norway, offers stunning views of fjords, mountains and sea. Known for the northern lights and the midnight sun, the city is a hub for nature and cultural experiences such as Kjerringøy and Saltstraumen, the world's strongest tidal current. Bodø combines arctic beauty with rich culture and is truly unforgettable.

History
The venerable guesthouse in Prinsensgate was probably built in the 1930s and then rebuilt after the Second World War in 1946. It was Jensine Opsahl who rented out rooms at the lodging house at the time. There were many lodging houses in Bodø at that time.

Art exhibition
Opsahl Gjestegaard hosts the fantastic sales exhibition "the light of the sun, the power of the moon" by artist Jonny Andvik from Telemark.

Function room
Opsahl Gjestegaard creates a wonderful homely and festive setting for weddings, confirmations, baptisms, anniversaries or other gatherings.
